here are some photos of the lab, over the garage. in the middle picture, you can see the door to my new office/cave. well i still don't have a window, but at least this one has heat, air and working lights!! what more can i ask for? hmmm

i don't know why this is so dark, but it is gramma's room, looking from the back of the house to the front. see her cute little gas fireplace on the left?




and this is gramma's from front to back. on the back left side is her bathroom and on the other side, her walk in closet.




this is the spare room, front to back. those are the shower walls for the guest bathroom. why aren't they in the bathroom??? why arent they installed?

we have had a lot of activity the last couple of weeks. painters, wood floors installer, finish carpenter, the plumber and electrician are back. next week the kitchen is supposed to be here and the bathroom floors are going in. that's what they tell us anyway... but we have no reason to doubt it. everyone has been pretty good about showing up when they say they will. i'll take more pictures. really.

cranberries

last week the cranberries were harvested. the day before these pictures were taken, david rode through the bog on some sort of harvester picking the berries.

later that day, the bog was flooded



the next day, the floating cranberries were rounded up.



and sucked up with this machine and dumped into that truck.


that is a wet harvest. those cranberries will not be sold fresh, they will be made into juice, sauce, craisins.

brrr

the temperatures have been dropping during the night, but the sprinklers are still going every morning on the (slightly overgrown) bog. this is the view we have had for the last week. pretty. i guess you need to enlarge the pictures to really see how icy everything is.

insulation!!!

here we have some pictures of the insulation. how exciting is that. these pictures are a little dark. the rooms are really much brighter. ok.. now lets see if i can get some upstairs shots.

well, finally!! after weeks (really) of trying to get some pictures posted...stupid computer...so anyway, here is the lovely septic system and some of the old bottles joey found during the dig. we have a ton more and they all need a good cleaning. now let's see if i can get some house pictures to upload.
